Many of us are doing our part during this challenging time by staying home and limiting our social interactions. Though many offices and buildings have shut their doors for now, our food service teams have remained committed to creating a positive experience for our clients and their employees. 

Our teams understand the importance of focusing on morale and positivity through uncertainty. Guckenheimer teams across the country are getting creative and staying connected to clients’ employees. 

 

Comfort food in discomforting times 

For cafes that have remained open, our teams are doing what they can to boost morale and bring comfort to guests through the food they are serving and the experiences they are creating. 

One cafe offered peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, which was a popular favorite and reminded many of childhood. This dish was also very popular for employees’ children who accompanied their parents to work. 

 

Let us do the shopping

In an effort to help our clients and their employees through this difficult time, some of our cafes are offering grab-and-go meals or take-home meals. They have also set up a mini-market where they can place orders for staple foods like chicken, dry pasta, legumes, grains, produce, dairy products and bread.

Donating to local non-profit organizations

Even though a client’s sites shut down abruptly recently, they had supplies and ingredients on hand. We have donated those items to local non-profit organizations with whom we have existing partnerships.

Cook with us, online 

As a way to stay connected to our clients’ employees who are working from home, several of our cafe teams have been hosting online cooking demos and sharing recipes online. These efforts are being used to help employees feel engaged while we all navigate these new circumstances.

Every day the world is learning more about the development of COVID-19, and every day our lives are being impacted by it. As we navigate these uncharted waters, our teams are dedicated to the safety and well-being of our customers and our people. Though distance may separate us, we are and will continue to create curated experiences for our customers and employees.
